The Super Secret Hive Podcast - Episode 5
Welcome back to Earth!
We are so glad we got a chance to learn more about the Neowise Comet. If you are like Mike and missed it when it passed by Earth, there are some awesome photos taken from places all across the globe you HAVE to see (and yes...Julie used these in her slideshow presentation) ! It is wild to think how many things could be out there flying all over our universe! Luckily for all of us, astronomers (scientists that study outer space) keep tabs on all of these objects once they are discovered. Hopefully, we can all see the next big one that comes!
Now that you have tasted some delicious facts, it's "Hive Time" you get to the main course with these excellent books (*if you decide to purchase any of these books, it helps to support us making this content).
Ages 5-8: Gravity
Ages 6-8: Looking Up! The Science of Stargazing
Ages 8-12: Chasing Space Young Readers' Edition
Ages 8-12: 100 Questions About Outer Space
While outer space is incredible, it is also unbelievably huge and very quiet (shhh...there is no sound in space!). Sometimes on Earth, we all can feel as alone as the Neowise Comet. Missing family and friends is a feeling every person has felt. Just like our Comet this episode, make sure you reach out to those who might feel that way to help them feel better. And if you're feeling that way, connecting with others can brighten your day too (even if it is a virtual visit)!
Have fun with this episode's collection of activities and we can't wait to hear from you! That's all for this time. Thanks for stopping by The Hive!
